HILDA NAKUYA KUGONZA (MRS)

Hilda was born on 3rd June, 1972 (which incidentally is the Uganda Christian Martyr’s day in Uganda) in Wakiso district.  She went to Buhinga Primary School in Fort-portal district in western Uganda then Wampewo Secondary School near Gayaza and then St.Edward’s Seconday, Bukumi in Kakumiro district. From there she joined the Makerere University Business School, Pakwach Uganda College of Commerce for a Diploma in Business Studies and completed it.

She began her work in St.Paul Secondary School, Mpererwe as a Bursar then joined VEDCO (Volunteer Efforts for Development Concerns), an NGO that deals with Agricultural development and income generating projects for rural communities in several districts in Uganda. She worked there as an accountant for several years gaining invaluable experience in the accounting field.

She joined MCMC as The Administrator. Her docket is to oversee the day today running of the MCMC work place as well as Accounting for the organisation’s resources.

Mugume Debate Charles (clinical officer)

Mugume Debate Charles is a Senior Clinical Officer in charge of Medical Services at MCMC where he has served for about 5 years. He has experience in the medical field spanning over 25 years. He is known for his teamwork, patient-centered care, and community engagement. Before joining MCMC, he was employed at St. Stephen’s Hospital Mpererwe. He continues to empower future generations of healthcare providers by supervising Makerere University medical students as site tutor Community Based Educational and Research Services (COBERS) Program.

Charles holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Diploma in Public Health, and Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health. He received an awared for Best Person in Community Engagement from Rotary Club of Kololo, and several awards from St. Stephen’s Hospital for Employee of the Year.

Charles has deep affection for and involvement with community, exceptional teamwork and professionalism, and pays careful consideration to social and cultural aspects of the people he treats.

Caroline Kisakye (Clinical psychologist)

Caroline has over 10 years of experience across hospital and community mental health settings who specializes in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of child and adult psychopathology, with a strong focus on integrated, patient-centered care. She oversees the Epilepsy Support program and advocates for safety, medication compliance, and empowerment through education while providing a specific psychosocial support network.

She also treats patients and teaches students at Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital.
